Thanks Wences! A lot of things to think about. I think we are very aligned about the “what” we need. Now let’s go deeper into the “how” 😉
Thanks W, this was a powerful talk. Kudos for the effort in a quite difficult topic to cover and share. -> I have finished your talk with a great feeling of appreciation for the shareholders of this company to keep pushing to have a purpose, even though how successful we are already and the possibility to remain the same. And my Qs: How to get from stage 3 to 5. The conditions are somewhat vague and hard to measure their accomplishment. For example: Our Performance Culture is a super power. Have you thought of specific measurables? Is marketgoo as an… Read more »
From Wences: How to get there? is a very powerful question and proof that when we approach decision making in the future, many powerful replies will come when we pose this question. When it comes to ‘what do we mean by X?’ (performance, market leader, etc) it’s something we have to do together. High performing is when we work smoothly, when there is deep proactivity and efficiency, and we are very committed. TL;DR: let’s build this together. Do we think that we can accomplish our vision, this challenge with a small team, or the team that we have now? We used to be concerned before about what it meant to grow, and now we have Wisdom Growth regarding that. We now have systems, a more mature culture,… Read more »
Not a question, just a thought: I have been reflecting on the team size, and the reasoning why we (and mostly myself) initially seemed to be biased in favour of a small team. Is it because of the idea that it will become unmanageable, the idea that our culture will not scale, that every additional hire makes life a little harder? basically, is it rooted in avoiding that pain, or is it actually intentional based on a philosophy and belief that smaller is better? Also re: high performing teams, agree w David regarding specific measurables for that. Everyone wants to… Read more »
